Woman, 92, Burgled in Bishopric

A ninety-two-year-old woman was tricked into letting a burglar into her home in the Bishopric on Saturday afternoon. He was outside her home between 2.30pm and 3.00pm and she asked him if he was from the water board. He said he was and answered questions about her meter. She let him in to her flat to "test" her kitchen taps. After he had gone, she discovered her bank books had also gone.

The man is described as being 5' 8", larger build, around 30, short dark hair, clean shaven and wearing a bright red top and dark trousers. Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1175 of 17/8.
