Three crashes in 24 hours

Three traffic accidents occurred within hours of each other in the Horsham area.

Serious injuries were suffered by a 26-year-old motorcyclist last night (18 August) when his bike hit the central reservation In North Parade. The accident happened just after 8pm as the rider travelled north. He was taken to St George`s hospital.

Steyning by-pass was closed after another motorcyclist and a car were in collison at about 7.30 this morning and the A24 at Kingsfold was closed when a lorry overturned at 9.40am.

The driver of the lorry lost control as he travelled south. It went into a ditch and overturned.

The driver was taken to East Surrey hospital with minor rib and wrist injuries.
