Broadbridge Park Care Home in Horsham would like you to meet their 'Yeti'...a 65-inch touchscreen interactive tablet! This new addition to the home has been well received especially by the residents as it gives them another way to stay in touch with their family and friends easily, which is so important. It also means they can play interactive games including bingo and trivia which all help to stimulate cognitive functions. The tablet has provided a different platform for the residents to socialise together as they can listen to music, watch movies and even take part in some karaoke.

The Yeti Tablet has access to millions of apps and is embedded with apps for recreation, cognitive and physical therapy. Residents can stay informed using the news apps feature and, due to its intuitive system, it is easy to use without the need for training. It is also on a mobile stand which allows easy access for any residents in wheelchairs or bed, as it can be raised and titled as needed.

Everyone at the home has been thoroughly enjoying using the 'Yeti' and look forward to involving families and visitors when they can. It`s clear there are lots of fun and exciting times ahead for the residents using this new innovative tablet.

Meanwhile, as part of its a range of activities and events for the local community, Broadbridge Park is hosting a Virtual Dementia Support Group on the 10th of February. Find out more here.
