The youngest member of the HH team (Mini HH 6 Year old) was treated to a sneak preview of the Ho Ho Ho! Christmas Show at the Capitol’s Park Barn. This turned out to be the perfect venue as it felt intimate and children could sit on cushions at the front.
As soon as we walked in her face lit up! When she clapped eyes on the stage and Steve the Elf pottering around his workshop, she could tell there was something seriously Christmassy happening in front of us!
The stage in front of us and Steve the Elf were bursting with Christmas! Steve the Elf is just what you want him to be; kind, funny, silly and above all real!
From the second we arrived and caught sight of Steve the Elf’s workshop with Steve himself pottering around and greeting us and welcoming all the children, the magic began.
The show is captivating, the story line had our little girl sitting on the edge of her seat craning her neck (she wanted to sit right at the back as it was it was more than she expected) as we watched Steve the Elf prepare everything for Santa in time for Christmas, helping several of his friends along the way.
We heartily sang ‘’We wish you a Merry Christmas’’ and all joined in passing food down to Rudolf to make his nose glow!
At the end of the show, our mini HH member got to meet Santa and was presented with a little gift. The experience was so real to her I could tell her little face was bursting.
“Real Snow”, Rudolf and the sweetest little mouse all made this a magical experience for our mini reporter.
What made this experience so special? The length of the show is perfect, it’s very interactive, but also perfect if your child is not one for the spot light: there’s no pressure to partake.
The story telling is captivating, the characters you meet are enchanting, and mini HH could not take her eyes off the stage and watched with keenness as she was introduced to an array of Christmas characters from Rudolf to Tiny Tilly the mouse.
Steve the Elf and Santa are simply superb and I noticed how well they adapted to each child’s different personality, our little HH member can be very shy and they both engaged with her beautifully, they spoke with her so personally, I could not have wished for a better Santa interaction!
We were so impressed with everything we saw and experienced, it was truly magical, from real snow falling, singing to feeding Rudolf.
We have to say this is one Christmas experience not to be missed.
A lovely Christmas memory was made for mini HH that evening which I’ll cherish forever. And she has not stopped talking about it!
