COUNCIL PLUMPS FOR NORTH HORSHAM
Horsham councillors voted overwhelmingly last Thursday (26 July 2013) to make North Horsham the focus for their strategic plan for houses and jobs over the next 20 years. The plan, which now goes out for consultation, is to build on a 525-acre site north of the A246 from the Harwood Road roundabout in the east to just short of the bridge over the Dorking rail line to the west.
The aim is to create up to 3,000 jobs at a business park built as part of a mixed scheme to include 2,500 homes, a retail food store, leisure provision, a medical centre, primary school and a site for a secondary school. There is also a plan to build a new station.
