Blues band Catfish, winner in Horsham Battle of the Bands, is also a finalist in the Emerging Artist section of the 2015 British Blues Awards and keyboard player Paul Long figures in the Keyboard Player section.
This crowns a meteoric year for the Sussex band which was formed only 12 months ago when Paul Long (keys and vocals) and 20-year old son Matt (lead guitar and vocals) teamed up with Kevin Yates (drums) and Dusty Bones (bass), after meeting at blues jams on the South Coast.
Since then the band has supported major blues names like Larry Miller, Mud Morganfield, Babajack and Oli Brown. It is also booked to play at the major blues festivals at Colne, Skegness and Ilfracombe, and will be at the 02 Bluesfest in November on Mattâs 21st birthday.
