“A Christmas Carol” is a cracker of a play at the Capitol Horsham. It`s a faithful re-telling of Dickens` classic short story of greed and redemption. It`s also a two-actor play with Jack Lane and David Benson switching seamlessly from character to character. Indeed the whole production moves along seamlessly from the appearance of the ghost of Jacob Marley , through the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and To Come, to the bright dawning of the new Scrooge.
As a book, “A Christmas Carol” has never been out of print (and no doubt everyone in the audience knew the story when they took their seats). This production shows why and at the end the audience whooped and roared their appreciation. The play runs to the 29th of December. Details here.
