Thursday 04 February 2016

A chance to take part in a national debate on whether Britain should replace its nuclear deterrent, Trident.

Two internationally recognised experts, Dr Lee Willett editor of IHS Jane' Navy International and Dr Kate Hudson general secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament plus two Collyers students, will debate the following statement:

‘Trident: is replacement essential for the protection of UK security and place in the world or an outdated political strategy and a waste of billions of pounds of tax payers money?‘

7.00pm for 7.30pm start at Duckering Hall, The College of Richard Collyer, Hurst Road, Horsham RH12 2EJ.

Questions and statements from the floor will be welcomed and a vote will be taken at the end of the meeting to gauge public opinion on this important national issue.

Refreshments will be available for a small donation.

Register for this event at Eventbrite so the organisers can gauge numbers and manage the event more successfully, but it isn’t essential. Alternatively email [email protected] if you plan to attend.
