Friday 03 June 2016

A fun filled afternoon which will educate and inspire children about the value of waste resources. Lots of exciting upcycled games, meet Ronnie the Robot and Landfill Larry, run the recycling race, enjoy a display of inspirational upcycled clothes, accessories and bags, made out of what some people call rubbish! There will also be a DVD and book Swap Shop, bring one, take one.

During this event there will be an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for ‘The most neckties worn at once’, the current record is 266. So join in with this record attempt, bring a tie which you can donate to the cause or put a name label on the tie so it can be given back to you at the end of this record breaking event.

As part of the event seeds will be sown to honour, replenish and give thanks to our planet Earth with Trish Norman and her light-hearted yet thought provoking ceremony, with Ron accompanying himself on guitar while singing’ rubbish songs.’

Why not bring a picnic along too!

The session will be led by Carrie Cort winner of the Green Champion Award at the BBC Surrey & Sussex Community Heroes 2015, and a team of helpers.

2.00pm - 4.00pm at The Human Nature Garden, Horsham Park RH12 1RL. This is a free event. Children must be accompanied
