Allan’s first attempt at song writing with ‘The Shindigs’, led to two singles being released on the Parlophone label (same label as The Beatles.

Allan progressed to being as a freelance Solo Singer/Guitarist singing Rock n Roll and the Pop music of the day. These late sixties performances included some brilliant and now legendry players in its line up, including Alan Wakeman, Barbara Thompson and Don Weller.

Allan was also in the folk circuit playing at local clubs and particularly joining the sessions at The Black Horse, Nuthurst. There he met and mingled with folk musicians such as Bob Davenport, John Hawkins, Dick Streeter, John Dewdney and most of the Broadwood Morris.

In the late 70’s Allan formed his own band once again: “Allan Bailey and his Music” (still going!). Private parties for H. M. Queen Elizabeth and other senior members of the Royal Family at Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle The Ritz, The Savoy and many Country Houses including Blenheim Palace, soon followed.

Allan’s still taking his experience, love of the music and energy forward and can be seen and heard at parties and events around the world.
